How to Install intel-microcode software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

intel-microcode software package provides Processor microcode data file for Intel CPUs, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install intel-microcode 

intel-microcode is installed in your system.

Make ensure the intel-microcode package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep intel-microcode *

You will get with intel-microcode package name, version, architecture and description in a table
